Stop Killing The Energy Industry
Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first federal budget is being sold as a “generational” plan - a bold, transformative vision to secure Canada’s future prosperity.
But behind the speeches and slogans lies a very different story.
This so-called plan claims to be finding $50 billion in cuts, but also pledges over $140 billion in new spending.
The government insists this combination of massive investment and modest restraint will somehow deliver long-term growth in a time of global uncertainty.
That might sound impressive - until you look closer.
Ottawa is still running one of the largest deficits in modern Canadian history.
And the government is still trying to micromanage the economy from the top down, deciding which industries succeed, which fail, and which projects deserve “investment.”
That’s not a generational shift - it’s just the same old debt-fuelled, government-directed spending spree that has driven Canada’s productivity into the ground for years.
And nowhere is this clearer than in how the budget treats the energy sector.
Carney’s government is hinting that they might - eventually - remove the oil and gas emissions cap.
But only if the energy industry first jump through an endless list of new federal demands: stricter methane rules, new industrial emissions standards, and billions of dollars poured into government-approved carbon capture projects.
Even if all of those impossible conditions were met, what guarantee is there that Ottawa wouldn’t change its mind again?
It’s not as if the Liberals have a strong track record of keeping promises when it comes to the energy industry.
Ottawa is effectively saying:
“Do everything we tell you to do, spend billions to meet our standards, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll stop suffocating your economy.”
That’s not a partnership - it's more like blackmail.
While Ottawa throws billions at politically fashionable industries, the energy sector - the foundation of Canada’s economy - continues to face uncertainty, regulation, and punishment.
And now, they expect us to celebrate the “possibility” that they might one day remove a cap that never should have existed in the first place?
We’ve heard this before.
Ottawa creates a crisis, then promises to fix it - but only on its own terms.
And when people play along, they move the goalposts again.
It’s time to stop pretending that Ottawa’s approval is a path to prosperity.
If we want a future of growth, stability, and opportunity, we must take control of our own destiny - not wait for permission from those who’ve spent decades undermining our industries and values.
It’s time to say enough.

The Liberal government are World Economic Forum puppets. No one wants to mention the WEF, but Carney is following their plan to hide their agenda under NET Zero. They are destroying Canada and our values since 2015. NO ONE, NO ONE will invest here with the taxes, including Industrial Carbon taxes Canada has in place. With the policies that we have, Canada is a poor investment choice. They will invest elsewhere. Taxpayers money is not going to incentify the situation. You have to have a business climate whereby Canada is a predictable place to invest.
How is Canada to survive without utilizing our resources? At the same time they are passing bills to block development, take your freedom away, take you wealth, savings retirement and your home.
The next step is convert you to digital ID, so they can control what you purchase, what you eat and then they will reduce the population through forced vaccines in your food supply.
The unvetted immigration is ruining the country, eroding our values and destroying Christianity. They want the Muslims to take over. They want our guns so we can’t fight back.
Totalitarian, Marxist, Communist control are the Leftist Liberals. Canadians’ thinking tariffs are to blame are suprisingly blind. They have been hit over the head, time and time again and need to stop blaming someone else for this mess we are in. Vote the Liberals and the NDP out!
These are NOT signals to invest in Canada.
The plan is to shut Oil & Gas down, and they do not care if you live or die. Carney is full of false promises while he lines his pockets with Canadian tax payers money.
Wake up Liberal/NDP voters!
