Stop The Clean Electricity Regulations

Last week, Canada’s Environment Minister, Steven Guilbeault, released the draft Clean Electricity Regulations - otherwise known as the much anticipated, incredibly expensive, and entirely unconstitutional net-zero 2035 electricity generation requirements.

Ottawa is even threatening punitive measures for those who don't comply, with Energy and Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson announcing that billions of dollars in tax credits and grants will be tied to a province's plan to reach net-zero.

We’ll cut to the chase - these Clean Electricity Regulations are flat-out unconstitutional.

Electricity generation is an exclusive provincial jurisdiction protected by Section 92A (1)(c) of the Constitution, which states:

"In each province, the legislature may exclusively make laws in relation to ... development, conservation and management of sites and facilities in the province for the generation and production of electrical energy."

Luckily, the Clean Electricity Regulations are a consultative document - meaning the regulations are not finalized.

So, we need to make ourselves heard and be as loud as possible now.

That's why we're launching a new campaign calling on the federal government to back off, respect the Constitution, stop infringing on provincial jurisdiction, and Stop The Clean Electricity Regulations!

Liberals have no Logic! Lets burn more coal instead to run our current electrical grids? Thats all we have. No nuclear. Millions of tons of Co2 to mine for special minerals for lithium? Logic? All electrical autos in future? We cant handle the overload now with heat waves, let alone overloading the grid? As fir environment maybe Justin can talk to his communist Buddy Putin to stop the destruction and pollution! At least we have PP for PC’s with logic! Wake up Canada and toss Liberals and NDP out!!

Most provinces have plans for 2050. Let them meet those realistic targets, rather than forcing something that is not feasible. Besides, a lot of so-called clean energy, like electric cars, are not clean! They rely on mining in third-world nations using child slave labour! The disposal of solar panels and wind turbines is anything but clean! They are also not reliable in our Canadian winters! We have solar panels on our home and on a cloudy day or a sunny winter day that is only a few hours long they are practically useless! These goals will plunge Canada into third-world status and many will die of cold – far more than will ever die of heat.
