All things being supposedly equal, how is it possible that Quebec does not have to develop their resources, are allowed to omit Provincial Hydro revenues? Which thus qualifies them for the lions share of equalization transfer payments. The very name “Equalization” leads the populace to believe it’s a fair dispersal method and all of Canada is represented equally. Nothing could be farther from the truth, Alberta has had enough of the self proclaimed “distinct” society, taking our hard earned money all the while thumbing their nose to our oil. Where do they think that most of the tax money they so greedily claim comes from…Maple syrup!?

Quebec based SNC Lav. has the PM of Canada interfere in an investigation of the unimaginable corruption of that company, to save a few thousand Quebec jobs while many tens of thousands of Albertans are unemployed.

It’s time the west had fair and equal representation in the Federal Government, it’s time the equalization formula is rewritten so all provinces and Territories benefit equally, it’s time that all Canadians are treated with distinction. I never understood how one language, in a country with immigrants from all over the world, considers itself unique. Hear me Quebec, self proclaimed worth is not the same as worth…

These are excellent first steps to securing Alberta’s place within Canada. However, there remain glaring faults within the structure of our confederacy that must be addressed. The senate, electoral reform, and equal representation, in at least one of the houses.
